For many years, Focus Lifts have installed hydraulic vehicle lifts in a number of prestigious properties. Last year, one of our installations got the star-treatment when it appeared in the sixth instalment of the Fast and Furious series.

Like the other films in the franchise, Fast and Furious 6 is a thrilling mix of car chases and stunts which defy the laws of physics, featuring a team of professional car thieves, led by Vin Diesel’s character, Dominic Toretto. In order to clear their criminal record (earned over the preceding 5 films), they take on a job which involves neutralising a group of mercenaries. Their mission takes them to London, where the mercenaries are based and, coincidentally the location of many of our vehicle lift installations.

The lift in question is a through-car hydraulic vehicle lift with Peelle Horizontal Sliding Doors and, if you skip to 1:04 in the trailer, you can see the doors opening to reveal Toretto’s 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. It’s often the case that the real heroes are overlooked and, had it not been for that lift, Toretto’s crew might never have completed their mission. Of course, it’s all in a day’s work for Focus Lifts!
